Future Events – Postponed Coronavirus (COVID-19)

With additional restrictions of movement likely to be imposed over the weekend, and recognizing our moral responsibility to you the runners, to volunteers and to the residents of Wickham, we do not think it it appropriate for us to be facilitating increased traffic in the village.

We have therefore had to abandon our planned ‘turn up and go’ version of the race and postpone the race until the autumn.

All our races, by their nature, take place in rural locations, where there are small, very close communities, whose support we rely on heavily. One day, hopefully in the near future, Coronavirus will have gone, and we will return to those locations, and would hope to continue our relationships with local residents.

In the meantime, those who wish to run a either a 20 mile or 10k on their own route, or on the published route, can do so, and once we receive an email notifying us you have done so, we will send you your medal.

We are not in a position to offer refunds but over the coming weeks, for those that do not run the virtual, or cannot make the rescheduled date, we will offer a credit note to be used on any of our 2020/2021 races.

We have tried our best to come up with an acceptable workaround but we have to be mindful of the way that the virus can be carried and spread, and that this can happen very quickly, before you even know you have it.

Once again thank you all so much for your support. Michelle and I, as are some of you, heading into some very difficult times, which I am sure we will all get through, if we support each other.

Please stay safe, and take care.
