Remembrance 5k & 10k

Race Day Instructions

The Remembrance 5k & 10k runs take place on the 9th November 2019. The 10k race starts at 10am, with the 5k starting a short time after following a race brief on the start line at 9.50am.

There will be a pre race warm up for both races, conducted by Portsmouth Outdoor Fitness

The Start Line is on the Monument Lane, adjacent to the Royal Armories Museum at Fort Nelson. PO17 6AN. The races finish is in the same place.

All runners must register at Fort Nelson by 9.45am.

Number collection for this event is at Fort Nelson, Portsdown Hill Road, Portchester, from 8am. Those of you that have purchased tee shirts should collect them from registration. It is important that runners wear their numbers on the front and do not cover it as the race timing system may not detect your number and you will not get a time recorded.

Parking

There is a free car park on Portsdown Hill Road, opposite Fort Nelson. Parking at Fort Nelson in the main car park is available at £3 per car. The gates to the car parks will NOT open until 8am. Please do not turn up early.

Refreshments

There is a cafe situated inside the Museum Building, serving hot and cold snacks and drinks.

Toilets

There are toilets situated in the museum building as well as in the car park.

Medical Service

We have once again engaged the services of our Medical Team. Please seek their advice if you are feeling unwell before the race. During the race, if there is a medical emergency, the first call should be to the Race Director, on 07472 220433. Please put this number into your phone contacts. In the event you are unable to get an answer, you should seek medical assistance by calling 999.

Water

There will be a water at the water station on the course for the 10k runners, at approximately 5k, and for the 5k runners at approximately 2.5k. There will be water at the finish for all runners.

Medals

All finishers will receive a medal on the finish line.

Wickham Torchlight 2

Race Day Instructions

The Wickham Torchlight runs take place on the 11th October 2019. The race starts at 7pm, following a race brief on the start line at 6.50pm.

All runners MUST wear a Head/Chest torch or carry a torch.

The Start Line is on the Meon Valley Trail, adjacent to the FREE car park in Station Close. The races finish is in the same place.

All runners must register at the Meon Valley Centre by 6.45pm.

Number collection for this event is at The Wickham Centre, PO17 5AL from 5.30pm.


Parking

There is free parking at the Wickham Centre and at the free car park in Station Close, alongside the Meon Valley Trail. In the event all the free parking is taken, there is Pay & Display parking in Wickham Square, a 3 minute walk from the start.

Medical Services
