Race Day Instructions
The Twixmas 10k & 5k runs take place on the 29th December 2019. The 10k race starts at 10am, with the 5k starting a short time after following a race brief on the start line at 9.50am.
The Start Line on the field at Wicor Recreation Ground, AFC Portchester, Cranleigh Road, Portchester
All runners must collect their numbers by 9.45am
Number collection for this event is at AFC Portchester. It is important that runners wear their numbers on the front and do not cover it as the race timing system may not detect your number and you will not get a time recorded.
There is a free car park at AFC Portchester, but be warned, the car park does fill up with dog walkers and other users of the ground.
There is a kiosk at the ground selling hot and cold drinks, burgers, bacon rolls etc
There will be a bag drop available at the ground. However, runners leave their bags etc at their own risk.
There are toilets in the changing rooms, situated in the car park car park.
We have once again engaged the services of our Medical Team. Please seek their advice if you are feeling unwell before the race. During the race, if there is a medical emergency, the first call should be to the Race Director, on 07472 220433. Please put this number into your phone contacts. In the event you are unable to get an answer, you should seek medical assistance by calling 999.
There will be a water at the water station on the course for the 10k runners, at approximately 5k.
All finishers will receive a medal on the finish line.
In the unlikely event this event is cancelled due to circumstances out of our control, every effort will be made to arrange an alternative event, but this cannot be guaranteed. No refunds will be given as a result of either the cancellation, or runners not being able to make the rearranged event.
